Slavia Praha defender Igho Ogbu has been invited to the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, as head coach Eric Chelle looks to restructure the team’s central defence.

Ogbu, 25, is a direct replacement for Semi Ajayi, who was ruled out due to injury. Standing at 1.87 meters tall, Ogbu is known for his strong defensive presence and ability to join the attack. He has made 27 appearances across competitions this season for Slavia Praha, scoring one goal.
