Mythic Uniques still have that nasty way of making sane Diablo 4 players do stupid hours. You tell yourself you'll run a few bosses, then suddenly it's 2 a.m. and you're staring at another pile of junk. Season 13 hasn't changed that hunger, but it has changed where smart players are spending their time. If you're chasing top-end D4 items, the Bloodied Butcher is no longer some annoying side problem you avoid. He's become the farm people are talking about in clan chat, and for once, the hype feels pretty fair.

The new sword everyone wants

Lord of Hatred added a fresh prize to the Mythic pool, and El'druin, the Sword of Justice, is already causing a fuss. It's not just popular because of the Tyrael connection, though that helps. The real hook is its Elite-kill effect, which cuts down cooldowns and keeps builds moving at a much faster pace. On high-tier content, that kind of rhythm matters. You're not waiting around. You're pulling, killing, resetting, and pushing forward. The Grandfather and Ring of Starless Skies are still brilliant, no question, but El'druin gives this season its own target.

Why the Bloodied Butcher matters now

At launch, plenty of players hated this fight. The Bloodied Butcher had too much health, hit far too hard, and often felt like a waste of keys. You'd spend ages dragging him down and walk away with rewards that didn't match the effort. After the recent tuning pass, the fight feels different. He dies at a more reasonable pace, and players are reporting far better Mythic results from his Hoard Chest. That's the bit that matters. Barbarians chasing Ramaladni's, casters building around Moloch's Beating Flame, and anyone hunting El'druin all have a real reason to put him on repeat.

Keys, Torment, and the chest that counts

You won't get much joy by sleepwalking through lower difficulty. The good farming starts when you're comfortable in Torment 10 and above. That's where the drops begin to feel worth the time, assuming your build can handle the pressure. Greater Lair Keys are the gate here, so don't ignore the sources. War Plans can feed you a steady supply, and lesser bosses like Lord Zir or the Beast in the Ice are still useful when you need more. The boss kill is only half the run. The Hoard Chest is where you're really rolling the dice, so bring enough keys to make the trip matter.

War Plans turn the farm into a routine

The biggest mistake this season is treating War Plans like background noise. Put points into the Lair Boss path and the whole loop opens up. Lair of Plenty is the first big bump, since the extra chest adds value straight away. After that, Nemesis Lairs are what you're aiming for. Chaining bosses into the Ultimate Nemesis Lair can lead to a ridiculous number of Hoard Chests in one session, sometimes enough to make the grind feel less cruel. If you're trying to gear quickly or compare drops with D4 items for sale while planning your build, this is the farm to learn now, not later.
